Congratulations to Marsha of Robertsdale Alabama on your purchase of Stormy
17 year old Registered Anglo Arabian a little over 15 hands.
Excellent horse for beginners or children or an enjoyable ride for a more advanced rider as well.  Pretty pushbutton for walk, trot, canter, jumping, trail riding.  No bad habits or vices, does what you need her to do.  Has done dressage in her past.  Sound, does have hay allergies so her hay must be wet down, that does not keep her from doing long trail rides.  We have used her for lessons, summer camp and taken her all over Biltmore, South Mountain, Kings Mountain and more, with adults and kids as young as seven.  No other maintienence needs.  Friendly and nice to be around.

Congratulations Jodie Stoos on your purchase of Al!!! I believe he will be quite content in your collection of fabulous animals! Can't wait to see him hooked up and carting you around! We could be more pleased with his luck in finding such a wonderful new home!

Al Capony

13 year old 11.3 hand, Paint Pony Gelding

Everyone just falls in love with this adorable, safe, easy going, pony. He is broke for w/t/c, cross rails and small jumps, he gets his leads, he has done lessons, parades, horse shows, therapy for handicapped children & is trained to pull a cart. He is very safe, friendly, quiet and healthy. Loads easy, bathes and is great for Vet and farrier. He has great feet and is an easy keeper. He has no vices. Ponies like Al are really hard to come by. He LOVES to trail ride with a group of Big Horses too!!

Al is what I consider to be a schoolmaster, he is well trained and knows his stuff, I would prefer to find a home with a child that knows how to ride already. This pony has been an awesome teacher over the years but now he deserves an equally talented rider to take him and bring out the best in him. He is well schooled and appreciates a rider that understands basic cues. He tends to not be particularly generous if you are not giving the right signals. In that way, I think he makes you a better rider, because he makes you do it *right* before you get results. He is safe for beginner and is pretty patient and tolerant but is confused and frustrated by rough or inconsistent cueing, he never does anything mean but he will retreat to his safe place (the gate). He is trained English, but will go western too and is fairly simple to ride. He rides with two hands, opening, direct or indirect rein, understands the leg, seat and voice as aids, moves off with a squeeze. He does not neck rein. At the very least we like to find a home for him where the child is in riding lessons and under the supervision of an adult.

He would be a perfect addition to a horse family with children who want to trail ride with Mom and Dad. He is very easy for small kids to handle on the trail and this is his favorite thing to do. He also likes to take jumps along the trail or in the field. He has taken lots of our small (6 and up) riders on the trails and is getting ready to begin riding in the Western Carolina Hunter Pace Series.

I do not really believe in Bombproof horses, because after all they are horses, but if there is such a thing, he may be it. In all the time we have owned him I have never seen him spook or do anything silly. He is not hot or nervous. He is a very solid, sensible pony. He is the same pony every day.

Congratulations Brywn Phillips. We hope Puff brings as much joy to your family as he did to ours!

Puff
a/k/a Puffy, Puffalo

13 year old Black Shetland Pony Gelding. 10 hands

Kid safe walk trot pony. Great First Pony! Very sweet without any vices or pony attitude. Tolerates being a play toy. Good for baths, loads, leads, ties. Easy keeper. Has been shown, halter, lead line, walk/trot. Has been trail ridden following big horses. Has foundered sometime in his distant past but is sound and has no special needs other than regular trimming. Has been in our lesson program for last 3 years for lessons, camps and pony parties. Wonderful little guy, we hate to let him go but we must. If you want kind and safe for your kids then Puff is the pony for you.

 Robins Sugar Baby
"Carley"
Nice Black and White Overo Mare. Registered American Paint Horse. She is real cute and sweet natured. Super Gentle easy to ride well trained Trail Horse, has also been used for lessons, camping trips and beginner trail rides. She will go well in the arena for w/t but it takes a little leg to get her to lope in a small space, she lopes fine in a large arena or in the pasture or on trails. Rides in a bosal or hackamore or even a rope halter, she's not a huge fan of the bit, but you don't need it with her. This mare is safe and gentle enough for a beginner or even younger kids, but will do best with a rider that is not timid. It only takes a minute for her to determine if her rider is going to put her to work. If her rider isn't persistent, she will meander over to the gate and not put forth a whole lot of effort. She would be best suited for someone who knows how to ride but wants a well trained calm horse or even a persistent child or one in lessons. Once she knows she's not getting out of working, she goes out wonderfully. Bathes, clips, lunges, loads, good for farrier. Will ride out alone or with a group. Very pretty markings with one pretty partial blue eye. Quiet not spooky, doesn't rush back to the barn, gets along well with the other horses and is in the middle of the pecking order.

ivie.jpg

soldclipart.gif

Ivie is an adorable Welsh/Draft Cross. She is very full of energy & would be well suited for timed events like barrels, poles or pony jumpers. She is very quick. She has been shown in the past in hunter hack & ridden by children. She would need consistent work to do that again. We purchased her for our lesson program but she's too quick for beginners. She is very easy to turn and transition. She neck reins too. healthy and sound. She has a current negative coggins cert. Leads, loads, clips, ties, good with feet.

Sheza Tough Jewel
Very nice, 6 year old, breeding stock, paint, sorrel with white hairs mixed in, good breeding, has reining, western pleasure and halter point earners in first two generations of her pedigree.  Goes back to Sonny Dee Bar on top.  (In my opinion she looks like him).  Very nice western pleasure/halter build.  Muscular but still athletic.   Very Gentle.  She is great on the trails.  She is less responsive in the ring.  Just a little on the lazy side, but she is a fantastic trail horse, very responsive, crosses bridges & creeks.  We have taken her to Anne Close Springs Greenway, Brattonsville, Latta Plantation and on a St. Judes Trail Ride.  Her previous owners took her on a lot more strenuous rides in the Smoky Mountains National Park and Roger's Mountain.  She is a good girl, she loves baths, doesn't mind being wormed.  She is a people horse.

Shady is a wonderful, sweet mare.  She has great ground manners. She ties, loads and stands quietly for the farrier and vet. She is up to date on worming, vaccinations & has a current negative coggins test. She is pretty and typey. Se has nice conformation except that her toes turn in a little in the front. It does not affect her at all. She is a very easy keeper.  She is 14.2 hands.  She is around 16-17 years old according to her previous owner. Her previous owner also told us that she is a purebred but her papers were lost. She has been leased for the last 8 months and has done well. She is a good trail horse and has been on rides at the Kings Mtn. Battleground, Latta Plantation & Broad River Greenway. She is sensitive to leg pressure therefore we just use very light leg pressure and the reins to guide her.  She rides with a hackamore.  She direct reins and turns with just a little bit of pressure.  She has never bucked, reared, or offered to kick or bite us. She has been a great horse to us but we have to make room for a jumper. Shady will make a great mount for someone that likes a horse with a little spunk under saddle. Please contact us for more information.
To a good home only.
