Paige's first horse of her very own!
Sunshine - She brought us so much happiness for so many years.  We were so sad to loose her in 2002 after 18 years of companionship.  She was the best horse anyone could have asked for.

Our First foal!
Out of Brandy and by Jill's Red Mark.
A few months later she shed out to a beautiful Red Roan, just like her sire...

Then we took her and Brandy to the Cleveland County Fair and won 1st place in our class...

After Sunshine passed away we started wondering about her foals and what had become of them.  One day, out of the blue, we ran into the lady who had purchased Czhar, the first colt we had raised out of Sunshine.  She just happened to be looking for a new home for him.  We were thrilled to have him.  Unfortunately it turned out that he had EPM.  We tried everything we could to save him but were unable to.  He is buried next to Sunshine.  He had more heart than any horse I had ever met.  We were happy to have known him, even if only for a short while.

We release you from the burden of your earthly body; Let your soul and spirit fly.

Until that foghorn whistle blows old girl…

It's amazing how such a tiny little thing had such a big impact on my life.  In my dreams your mother and I run though fields and jump the highest fences with you on our heels.  The thought of the two of you together again lessens my sadness and warms my heart.  Until we meet again in heaven...

Don't Cry For The Horses

Don't cry for the horses that life has set free.
A million white horses, forever to be.
Don't cry for the horses now in God's hands.
As they dance and prance to a heavenly band.

They were ours as a gift, but never to keep
As they close their eyes, forever to sleep.
Their spirits unbound, forever to fly.
A million white horses, against the blue sky.

Look up into Heaven. You will see them above.
The horse we lost, the horse we loved.
Manes and tails flying, they gallop through time.
They were never yours, they were never mine.

Don't cry for the horses, they will be back someday.
When our time has come, they will show us the way.
Do you hear that soft nicker close to your ear?
Don't cry for the horses, love the ones that are here.
